In recent years, Slovakia has seen a significant increase in investment in industry, but also ICT or “green” smart solutions, as well as an influx of other businesses at a high technological level, resulting in an increase in needs in the R&D field, increasing the requirements for the qualified and professional workforce, as well as to the needs of adaption of new ideas and innovative trends to Slovak conditions and thus to ensure competitiveness and permanent growth of business entities operating not only in the Slovak western region but throughout the Slovak Republic.

Smart Klaster – StartUP HUB (SKS) fulfills the role of a partner institution for the development of technologically oriented enterprises, to ensure the competitiveness of its cluster members on the national and international levels in the permanent creation of conditions for the best use of human and technical capacities, their qualitative growth and creating new investment opportunities in the region.

SKS is an organization that activates the permanent technological and educational development of the region based on a public-private partnership.

A legal form of SKS is a voluntary interest association of legal persons.
